Preparing for an insurance review

A useful first conversation starts here.

You do not need a full set of documents to make an initial enquiry. Begin with the requirement, what has changed and the timing.

A simple preparation guide

Four things to think about.

  1. 01

    What needs protecting?

Describe the home, possessions, property or business. If you are an adviser, explain your role and who you represent.

  2. 02

    What has changed?

Think about purchases, works, occupation, valuations, activities or equipment. Mention anything you are unsure the existing insurer knows about.

  3. 03

    When is the decision needed?

A renewal date, completion date or planned change helps frame the conversation. Tell us if the matter is urgent; no response time is promised by this website.

  4. 04

    What do you want clarified?

List the questions about limits, exclusions, conditions, excesses or claims support that matter to you.
